SURGERY TELEPHONE SYSTEM
Our new telephone system is now up and running and hopefully will make it easier to access our services.
In order to assist you when calling please note that these will be the options to choose from:-
- Press 1 for triage and on the day appointments - please call this number before 11am. Please also note that as this is the most popular option you will be prompted with the opportunity for a call back rather than having to hold on the line. This new facility is proving popular and we are getting very positive feedback about this from our patients.
- Press 2 for home visits - please call this number before 11am if you can.
- Press 3 for prescriptions - you will then get a further 2 choices after selecting this option - the first will be to press 1 to order repeat items or the second will be to press 2 to speak to a member of our prescriptions team. Please note the line may be busy on occasion if the staff are speaking to other patients but please wait a few minutes before calling back and selecting the same options.
- Press 4 for results - results are available from 11am.
- Press 5 for other enquiries. Please select this option for appointments with our nurses or other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Please do not select this option for prescriptions as you will not be connected to the right member of staff and will be asked to call back to select the right option from the list.

BEWARE OF SPAM CALLS - NOTIFICATION FROM AYRSHIRE & ARRAN HEALTH BOARD
We have been made aware of a scam targeting patients registered with local GP practices. Patients have reported receiving calls from an automated message claiming to be from their GP practice. The message asked the patients to go online and update their personal details, threatening that failure to do so could result in being removed from the practice list. Please do not respond to this message as it is a scam.
The call originated from the number 07448 046 976 but please be aware that other mobile numbers may also be used.
What you should do:
- Stay alert - be cautious of any unsolicited calls or texts asking for your personal details;
- Do not share personal information - GP practices will never ask for sensitive personal information in this manner;
- Verify authenticity - if you are unsure about any communication claiming to be from your GP practice, contact us directly to verify this;
- Report suspicious activity - if you receive a similar call, you should report this to Police Scotland by calling 101.
Your safety and security are our priority. Please remain vigilant and share this message with others who may be at risk.
